ovarian cancer is a persistent, aggressive BITCH!! but so am I.
This is my own story of life with advanced ovarian cancer. I do not offer medical advice, and my treatment decisions are my own. Please talk to your physician or healer and gain as much information as you can about this dreadful disease called cancer. Remember, knowledge is Power!
I made it home without exploding. But I gotta stay reeeeal close, if you know what I mean. I'm gonna hit the sack. There's just no sleeping at the hospital.
Sweet dreams.
I dread anything that causes a slow-down. Ended up in the hospital soon after debulking due to blockage. Fortunately a ng tube did the job...in five days. No surgery needed.
That is my most dread thing...to experience another surgery. Sooo.....I avoid pain meds at all costs. (however, I have not had to endure kidney stones, yada...in that case I might be begging for the stuff!)
It took me awhile but I finally got onto the Miralax routine. Nothing else helped me. Took a couple painful episodes to recognize I am taking Miralax for life! For EVER! And thanking God for the person who put it on the market.
Thanks Lyn. WS, I know you feel my pain! I tried to do the Miralax thing during chemo but I must be the only person on the planet that didn't get the desired results. :( I did better on Colace, Senna, M.O.M. (gross) and enemas. I see my oncologist tomorrow. I think he is finally convinced that I'm not going for more chemo (but will make another stab at it, I'm sure). We'll discuss better pain management and a new plan.
Good golly miss molly..............I really hope they can help you control these episodes. Thanks for your support the other day too. Us girls got to stick together. Hang in there.
Glad you made it back.
ReplyDeleteAnd glad you let that doctor have it when he deserved it.
